Dielo je reakciou na hardcore editáciu fotografií, ktorá sa bežne využíva v showbiznize, pri propagácii rôznych značiek, či seba (influencer kultúra)
V práci využívam foografie z predošlého projektu, kde som sa práve uchylovala k násilnému retušu, s cieľom dosiahnuť absolúznu dokonalosť a čistotu obrazu.
Teraz sa z toho cítim vyčerpaná. Pracujem v stave únavy už viac nedokážem premýšľať. Som nedôsledná, nahnevaná, nechávam pracovať svoj základný, povrchný inštinkt. Odstraňujem všetko, čo mi vadí.
Spolupracujem s inteligentnými výpočtami nástroja Photoshop, uvedomujúcim si okolitý digitálny obsah (content aware). Drsnosť a otupenosť procesu úpravy mi pripomína, že nikdy nekončiaci cyklus editácie a túžby byť dokonalým: stále byť lepším, krajším, zdravším, čistejším, je iba nástrojom neudržitelnej, patriarchálne riadenej spoločnosti, idealizujúcej si ženu ako celok. Fotografiu exportujem v momente, kedy sa mi zdá všetko nelichotivé vymazané.

This work is a response to the extreme photo editing commonly used in show business, whether for brand promotion or self-presentation in influencer culture.
I use photographs from a previous project in which I pushed retouching to the extreme, striving for absolute perfection and purity of the image.
Now, I feel drained. I work in a state of exhaustion where I can barely think. I am inconsistent, frustrated, and driven by instinct. I erase everything that bothers me.
I manipulate images using Photoshop’s intelligent algorithms, which are designed to be aware of surrounding digital content. The harshness and monotony of the editing process remind me that the endless pursuit of perfection—of being better, more beautiful, healthier, and purer—is nothing more than a tool of an unsustainable, patriarchal system that idealizes women as a whole. I export the image the moment everything “imperfect” seems erased.
