Prečo sú videá s mačkami také populárne? Je to len jednoduchá roztomilosť, ktorá nás vie potešiť či rozosmiať alebo tam nachádzame osobnostné spojitosti so sebou samými?
Mačky sú internetový fenomén, skratky k sledovanosti a lajkom a sú súčasťou veľkej komunity, v ktorej sa rodia napríklad ako už známe tváre – skrz memes. Projekt si prepožičiava tieto virálne videá, na ktoré narazíme počas bežného scrollovania sociálnymi sieťami a pracuje s obsahom, ktorý naťahuje a rozširuje. Skúša pozornosť diváka alebo ju úplne marí. Robí si, čo sa mu zachce, rovnako ako mačka.

Why are cat videos so popular? Is it just simple cuteness that makes us happy or laugh, or do we find personal connections to ourselves there?
Cats are an internet phenomenon, shortcuts to views and likes, and they are part of a large community in which some of them for example become famous stars – through memes. The project borrows these viral videos that we come across during our usual scrolling through social networks and works with content that stretches and extends it. It tests the viewer’s attention or thwarts it altogether. It does whatever it wants, just like a cat.
